Change targets in third_party/wayland (e.g. wayland_client) from static_library to source_set type and make sure those symbols are not exported to prevent other libraries, like libEGL_mesa from picking those in component-build libraries (e.g. libui_ozone.so) instead of the symbols in system libwayland-client.so which they intend to use. This will make sure that when component build is used no unexpected odd crashes are seen if the libwayland version used in chrome is different from the system libwayland-client.so expected to be used by other system libs. Also, expose static_lib versions of wayland_client and wayland_server only for weston used in tests. Learn how to Get Around the Chromium Source Code Directory Structure.
For historical reasons, there are some small top level directories. Now the guidance is that new top level directories are for product (e.g. Chrome, Android WebView, Ash). Even if these products have multiple executables, the code should be in subdirectories of the product.
